Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Ms. Julia Chesser Smith, age 65 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Ms. Smith was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Claude Chesser, Sr. and the late Virginia Tatum Chesser and was a Real Estate Professional. In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded by brothers, Dan Williams, Lowell Williams, and C.J. Chesser.
Survivors include three daughters, Mattie Higginbotham of Jefferson, Diana Smith Champagne (Dave) of New Hampshire, and Jessica Smith Watts (Jamie) of Knoxville. Brother, Paul Chesser (Carrie) of Jefferson and two grandchildren.
In accordance with the wishes of Ms. Smith, her remains will be cremated with a family time of remembrance to be held at a later date.
