Mr. Jimmy Wade Johnson, 68, of Gillsville passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mr. Tim Millwood will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Born on October 25, 1953 in Cumming, he was the son of the late Howard Lee Johnson and Gladys Anderson Johnson. Mr. Johnson was retired and was a member of Christ Place Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his niece, Kellie Johnson and nephew, Brad Threatt.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joy Johnson of Gillsville; sister and brother in law, Joyce and Charlie Reid of Cumming; brother and sister in law, Junior and Connie Johnson of Cumming; Michelle Stancil, niece; Jeffrey Johnson, nephew; special great nieces, one great nephew and one great-great nephew.
