Mr. James “Bill” Grubbs, age 87, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by family.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at Christ Place Church. Rev. Jeff Crook and Rev. Dave Channell will officiate. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mr. Grubbs was born August 4, 1934 to the late J. B. Grubbs & Jessie Bell Mouchet Grubbs in Hartwell, Georgia. A Veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of Christ Place Church and with his daughter Mariko the Owner of Engraving By Mariko and Community Features.
Mr. Grubbs is survived by his wife, Nobuko Grubbs; daughters, Mariko (Jim) Smith, Susan Knotts and Tina (Tim) Roberts; son, Mike Hollingsworth; 4 grandchildren; and sister, Wildean Raden. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
