Julia Cheek Williams

Mrs. Julia Cheek Williams, age 83 of Tococa passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

A daughter of the late John and Blanche Langford Cheek, she was born May 5, 1938 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was retired as an inspector with a sewing plant and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Mullins Ford Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Williams, son, William Steven Maxwell, grandson, Michael Codee Dillon Hattaway and by six brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Maxwell of Tococa; son, Martin Maxwell of Toccoa; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ralph Cheek of Toccoa and Carl and Dorothy Cheek of Aiken, South Carolina; sister, Betty Jordan of Creola, Alabama.

Graveside services will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, 11 o’clock a.m. at Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Roger Elrod officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Richard Maxwell, Stephen Pittman, Joshua Maxwell, Joshua M. Maxwell, Blayne Sears and Richard Gossitt.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Julia Cheek Williams.
