Memorial Park Riverside Chapel announces the death of Mr. Victor Manuel Fuentes, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022. Mr. Victor Manuel (Paquito) Fuentes was born in Puerto Rico on August 11, 1940, and has been a resident of Gainesville, GA for 24 years. He was a civilian employee in Logistics for Roosevelt Roads Naval Base in Puerto Rico.
In Florida he worked in Logistics for Reflectone, Inc. and as a Medical Transport Driver. In Georgia, he was very much loved by students when he worked as a Custodian at Gainesville Middle/High Schools until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna Aviles Fuentes, of Gainesville; daughter, Deborah Payne and her husband Brad of Clarkesville, GA, son, Victor M. Fuentes Jr. and his wife Pura of Palmetto, FL, daughter, Alexa Fuentes of Palm Bay, FL; daughter-in-law, Ruby Fuentes of Palm Bay, FL; four grandsons, Christian Castillo and his wife Beth, of Gainesville, GA; Jonatthan Castillo of Brandon, FL, Alexander Fuentes of Jefferson, FL, Joshua Fuentes, of Gainesville, FL; sister, Antonia Aponte, of Puerto Rico, sister, Olga Venezuela of Michigan; step-mother, Maria Solis of New York; brother, Frankie Solis of New York, sister, Esther Trani of New York, brother, Victor Jose Solis of Cleveland, GA, sister, Milagros Delgado of New York, sister, Damaris Padilla of New York and multiple nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with Mr. Christian Castillo officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 2, 2022 at the funeral home.
