William Josephus “Billy” White was born on October 3, 1930 in Royston, GA to the late John White and the late Mattie White. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia White.
He attended the Franklin County School System. He was a devoted member of St. Mary’s CME Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He served as a Deputy for the Franklin County Sheriff Department for 36 years. He was heavily involved with the community that he loved to serve.
Survivors include his children, William Kenneth (Jessica) White, William Keith (Tammy) White, and Tina Michelle (Clarence) Gibson; grandchildren, Destiny Arthur and Shonta White; 9 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Archie McKay; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday April 30, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s CME Church. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, Lavonia. Viewing will be from 12 noon until the time of service.
