Ronald Smith Williams, 80, Cumming, Georgia, passed away April 20th, 2022.
He was born on August 25th, 1941 to Albert N. Williams & Louise Smith Williams Hargrave in Bassett, Virginia.
Ron attended The College of William & Mary with a football scholarship. He graduated in 1963.
After college, Ron gained employment with Proctor & Gamble and moved to northern Virginia. Ron and his family then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and in the mid 1970’s became a business owner.
Ron cherished the many lifelong friendships he developed and took great pride & joy in his family. He adored his mother and loved his brothers and their families. His love for his daughter and grandsons could be witnessed in his smiling eyes on any given day.
Ron embraced living in his home on the lake and could always be found tending to the property. He loved nature and wildlife, golf, reading, exercising at the gym and of course UGA football. He also loved his many years of coaching in the youth football leagues in Roswell and with his Grandsons at Sawnee Mountain Park.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri W. Norton (Michael F. Norton), his Grandsons Eric Nathaniel Norton and Michael Roger Norton (Jessie Rochler Norton), Great Grandson Bennett Nathaniel Norton, his Brother Richard Williams (Iris Williams), his Nieces, Allison & Courtney & Nephew, John. He is also survived by his business partner & friend Marty Klausner.
Ron is preceded in death by his father Albert Williams & mother Louise Williams, his brother Albert N Williams (Sonny) and his nephew Richard Williams.
Services for a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
