Jerry Lee Grubbs

Mr. Jerry Lee Grubbs, age 82 of Hospital Drive, Toccoa passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Sam Tribble Grubbs and Bertha Weaver Grubbs, he was born April 26, 1939 in Hart County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He was a 1959 graduate of Toccoa High School. He was retired from 1st Franklin Financial with 37 years of service.  He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Toccoa Elks Lodge and assistant Scout Master.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe T. Grubbs.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Head Grubbs of the home; son and daughter-in-law, “Butch” Jerry Grubbs (Donna) of Tifton, Georgia; two grandsons, Michael Jerry Grubbs and Mark Ferguson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles (Debbie) Head of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 29, 2022, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and The Reverend Paul Garrison officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 1 p.m. until the service time.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Elks Aidmore Children’s Home, 2394 Morrison Road, Conyers, Georgia 30094 in honor and memory of Mr. Jerry Lee Grubbs.
