Betty Ruth Young

Mrs. Betty Ruth Young, 77, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Appleby and Rev. Terry Porter will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The room will be open for friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 7, 1945 in Bethlehem, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus (Mook) Morrow, Sr. and the late Pearlie Abie Morrow. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her siblings, Pearline Morrow, William Morrow, Audrey Morrow Bush, King, David (Sam) Morrow, Willie Clyde (Tank) Morrow, Clifford Morrow, Eutha Mae Morrow, Mary Frances Ansley, Rufus Ray Morrow, John Amos Morrow, Alice Delois Hayes, and Carlton Morrow.

Mrs. Young leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Emanuel Young of Gainesville; two children, Mitchell Young of Demorest, GA, Felica (Randy) Banks of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Young (O’Neil) of Rabun County, GA, Delissia Young of SC, Jasuan Young of TX, Alisha “Shanice” Bell of Gainesville, GA, Cameron Young of Demorest, GA, Bryce Pittman of Demorest, GA, Austin Young of Demorest, GA, Addie Young of Demorest, GA; great-grandchildren, Payten Young of Rabun County, GA, Miles Young of Rabun County and a number of nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives.
