Mrs. Julia Deborah “Debbie” Hayes Savage, age 73 of Goosepoint Drive, Toccoa passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Turnbull Hayes, she was born April 1, 1949 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Stephens County Hospital as a Ward Clerk with 27 years of service. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a member of the choir. She was a loving great mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Savage in 2003 and by two siblings, Sarah Nan “Cookie” Bell and Bucky Hayes.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandi Walters of Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Dawn Savage of Toccoa; grandchildren, Georgia Savage, Ashlyn Savage, Jack Henry Savage, Samantha (Austin) Arnold and Zach (Jessica) Walters; great-grandchildren, Greer, Collier, Connor and Sawyer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hank and Carolyn Hayes of Toccoa and Danny and Betty Hayes of Snellville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Alyce Howard of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Katie and Tim Hale of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022. 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Greg Brown officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers, Jeff Howard, Hank Hayes, Danny Hayes, Tim Hale, Glenn Owens and Rusty Mitchell.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

The family will have a private graveside at a later date.
