Mr. Charles Thurman Baumgartner, age 79 of Deer Run Road, Ellenwood, Georgia passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.
A son of the late Ralph Joseph Baumgartner and Nellie Jane Attaway Baumgartner, he was born March 2, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia having lived in West End, Georgia but most of his life in Ellenwood, Georgia. He was a Veteran Navigator with the Coastguard. He was retired from Georgia Power Company with 37 years of service. He was a Christian and a Mason. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting and fishing and weight lifting. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife of the home, Deborah Harrison Baumgartner; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jason Noffsinger of Rabun Gap, Georgia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Joseph “Sonny” Baumgartner of the home, Matthew and Stevie Hudson of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Chris and Trina Hudson of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Brooke and Bobby Mendenhall, Blake Hudson, Noah Hudson, Alyssa Hudson, Dylan Hudson, Charlotte Hudson, Jasper Noffsinger, Abram Noffsinger and Olive Ellise Baumgartner; sister, Mary Frances Thorpe of Chipley, Florida.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 24, 2022, 4 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home. Sons and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Charles Thurman Baumgartner.
