Grace Wallace Pirkle, 91, of Dawsonville passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 following a period of declining health.
Born December 18, 1930 to the late Stowers and Jamie Wallace, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Grace retired as a Kindergarten Parapro for the Dawson County School System following over 17 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and singing gospel music. Affectionately known by many as “Mama Grace”, she was an extremely devoted mother and loved spending time with all her family. A member of Settendown Baptist Church, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Mae Fausett, Ione Warren, and brothers, Clayton Wallace and Clyde Wallace.
Surviving are her children, Judy and John Davis, Dahlonega, Cathy and Bill Adamson, Alto, Jamie and Howard Ulrich, Dawsonville, Sarah and Carl Pruitt, Dawsonville, Larry Pirkle, Dawsonville, Cindy and Neil McBrayer, Cumming; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Estes, Rev. Harold Bottoms and Rev. Paul Shadburn will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:30 until 3:30 at the funeral home.
