Barbara Sosebee Head

Barbara Sosebee Head, age 93, of Cleveland, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022.

Mrs. Head was born on October 12, 1928, in Michigan, to the late Claude and Vernie Sheffield Sosebee.  She was a retired secretary for the White County School System, a lay speaker for the United Methodist church and a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Head; and infant grandson.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-love, Allen and Susan Head, Gainesville, Doug and Kay Head, Cleveland; grandchildren, Dea and Scott McFarland, Kealy and Ryan Burel, and Brian Head; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh McFarland, Matthew McFarland, Michael Burel, and Taylor Burel; also a host of extended relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. John Turlington will officiate.  Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 P.M. Tuesday and 2 -3 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
