Mr. Roger William Sertain, age 66 of Maka Way, Toccoa passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late William David Sertain and Ruth Turpin Sertain, he was born April 2, 1956 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was employed with Coats and Clark for 30 years and owned and operated his own plumbing business called The Plumber. He was a member of Welcome Faith Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Pauline Sertain and Sandra Jean Sertain.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Karen McCall Sertain; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Scott Bolemon of Toccoa; son, Joey Sertain and Tylena Cook of Toccoa; grandchildren, Taylor Bolemon, Tristan Bolemon and Elaina Sertain; two brothers, Charles Sertain and Al Sertain both of Toccoa; two sisters and brother-in-law, Tiny (Alvin) Gosnell and Libby Wilburn both of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 14, 2022, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ray Bohannon officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tristan Boleman, Scott Boleman, A.J. Murray, Kevin Smith, Brandon Smith and Kenny Smith.
The family will be at the home, 18 Maka Way, Toccoa and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roger William Sertain.
