Maudell Singleton

Maudell Singleton was born on August 28, 1942 to the late Howard Singleton, and the late Adell (Tate) Singleton. She made a earthly transition on April 7, 2022 she was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Adell, Two brothers Willie B. Tate and Leroy Singleton, sister Rev. Edna (Singleton) Dorsey. She was educated in the White County School system, she worked in many different capacities throughout her lifetime, But she thrived as a domestic housekeeper for more than 40 year, of which 37 of those years were spent working for Doug and Diane Magnus owner of Condition Air Systems in Gainesville Georgia. Her love for her family was unconditional, and her love for her siblings was so strong that as the youngest you would have thought that she was the oldest. They were a very close-knit family, Her sister Rev. Edna Dorsey was one who didn't give up on anyone And her prayer and strong faith in God was a big part of Maudell's conversion to Christianity. Maudell, was a very supportive and an active part of her son's ministry. She was a faithful member of the Hickory Grove CME church in Dahlonega, Georgia and associated member of Saint James CME church in Hartwell, Georgia and the Tabor's Chapel CME church in Ila , Georgia where she served as a stewardess, a missionary and an active member of the choir. She was a gifted singer and was led by the spirit of God to pen a few songs of her own. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Marietta Singleton Jackson her 3 children Wendy Singleton her son Rev. James (Trina) Singleton and her daughter Marvis (Flute) Singleton, 6 grandchildren ; Terrence (Ezrita) Singleton, Mario Thompson, Walter (Abril) Singleton, Tracy Lipscomb, Brittani Niles, Izayah Singleton. 23 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Maudell also leaves to cherish her memory special friends Barbara Trammell, Niece Beverly Allen & her former employer/ extended family Mr. & Mrs. Doug and Diane Magnus.
Ms. Singleton's visitation will be held Tuesday April 12th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm the family will receive friends between the hours of 6-8pm. Ms. Maudell's Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday April 13th at Hickory Grove CME Church at the hour of 1pm. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
