Harvey R. Moriarty, 79, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Moriarty; son, Sean Moriarty and his wife Mary Moriarty; and sister, Bonnie Moriarty. Mr. Moriarty is survived by his wife, Elyse Moriarty of Buford; children, Erroll Moriarty and Quinn Moriarty; five step children; Matt and Steve Taylor, who he lovingly referred to as his boys’ best friends; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harvey also leaves behind his two fur babies, Lucy and Bunny. Harvey was blessed with many artistic talents and was a true patriot. He was born on May 18, 1942 in Butte, Montana where he was raised. In later years, he settled in the Atlanta area. Harvey was a well-known local artist and was famous for his breathtaking water color paintings. He also was a well-known jeweler, and loved to work with silver and turquoise and other gem stones. Prior to retiring, he was the owner to The Royal Shutter Shop where he made custom mantels and shutters for the high-end homes in the Atlanta area. Harvey and his late wife owned and enjoyed working on a farm in the Buford area. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Hoschton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 9 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 10 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
