Dusty Ray Slater, age 43 of Commerce, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
Born on Dec. 5, 1978 in Gainesville, GA, Mr. Slater was the son of Johnny and Karen Kelly Slater. He was former Mayor Pro Tem of Commerce, GA.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a sister, Patti (Mark) Nunley; nieces, Brooklyn and Bryson.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, April 8, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Whisnant and Rev. Gary Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
