Carolyn "Lynn" Wachter

We regretfully announce the passing of Carolyn (Lynn) Wachter of Duluth, Georgia, on March 29, 2022. Lynn passed away peacefully, at home with her family.

Lynn was an extraordinarily kind and generous woman, who brought delight to and gratitude from friends, family, and acquaintances. She left a lasting mark in the hearts of those close to her. Lynn graduated from The Catholic High School of Baltimore in 1964. She graduated from Mount St. Agnes College in Baltimore with a degree in education in 1968. She taught elementary school in Maryland and Georgia.

She married Henry Wachter and together they had three children. Lynn was an amazing and loving mother, who was devoted to her family. She filled her world with love and made better the lives of everyone she met. No one could replace her.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents Alice and Theodore Foltyn. She is survived by her husband Hank, her daughter Kerri, her son Kevin and his wife Michele, and her daughter Lori and her husband Joshua. She is also survived by her brothers Ted and his wife Peg, and Brad and his wife Kerrin, her brother-in law Frank Morel, 15 nieces and nephews, 17 grand nieces and nephews, and 4 granddogs.

Please consider a donation in Lynn’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She loved children and this organization was important to her. A wake will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia from 3 – 6 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 7 at noon at the Catholic Church of St. Monica in Duluth, Georgia.
