Boyd Stanley Cochran

Mr. Boyd Stanley Cochran, age 70 of Murrayville, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Braselton following a sudden illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 4:00 pm in Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Cleveland with interment to follow in Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery.  Dr. Joe Vernon, Reverend Josh Chatham and Reverend Jeremy Scoggins will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 9 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Cochran was born February 18, 1952 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late David Jackson Cochran and Nora Lee Anderson Cochran.  He was the owner & operator of Cochran Brothers Electric Company.  Stanley was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Dorothy Cochran, Pauline Cochran, Paul Cochran, James Cochran, Ralph Cochran, Frances Cochran, J.B. Cochran and David Cochran. .

            Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kay Buffington Cochran of Murrayville, his children, Kari Leigh & Chris Kelley and Kandace & Paul Diemer, all of Gainesville, his grandchildren, Maelana Burke, Josselyn Burke, Desmond Diemer and Eliyanah Diemer, all of Gainesville, his siblings, Virginia Ray of Gainesville, Leroy Cochran of Cleveland, Sam Cochran of Cleveland, Sondra Cochran-Schroeder of Augusta, Joyce Jenkins of Cleveland and Doris Mundy of Cleveland.

            In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Building Fund at Shoal Creek Baptist Church, 142 Shoal Creek Church Road, Cleveland, GA 30528.
