Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Willette Parker Hudson, age 92 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Mrs. Hudson was born in McKenzie, Alabama a daughter of the late Henry Posey Parker and the late Hattie South Parker, was a retired Bookkeeper with Suntrust Bank, and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson is preceded by two sisters, Arel Parker Boger and Earline Parker Corns.
Mrs. Hudson met her husband Lester in Montgomery, Alabama where she worked as a bookkeeper, and he was in the Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base. Meeting through mutual friends, they married after dating just six months and celebrated seventy-two years of marriage this month. They left Montgomery for Decatur, Georgia in 1958, then moved to Lawrenceville in 1986 and Jefferson in 2005.
Survivors include her loving husband of seventy-two years, Lester W. Hudson of Jefferson. Daughter, Trina White of Jefferson, Son, Kevin Hudson of Dacula. Grandson, Justin White (Jenna) of Jefferson, Granddaughter, Dana Lutz (Drew) of Cumming. Three great grandchildren, Ariana, Sawyer, and Asher Lutz. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 27, 2022, from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Elder David Smith officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 2:00 -3:00 P.M prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
