Carl Edward Hiles Jr. was born November 6th,1975 to Carl Edward (Shirley) Hiles Sr. and Gail
Buffington Hiles. Carl departed this life on March 22nd, 2022.
Carl was a graduate of Gainesville High School’s class of 1995. Carl was a gentle soul who would
help anyone. His personality always shined bright.
Carl enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and playing basketball.
Carl was an avid sport fan, watching all games and commentating the entire time. One of
Carl’s favorite teams was the North Carolina Tarheels. Carl loved his jerseys and hats.
Carl was preceded in death by his grandparents; William Thomas Hiles Sr., Dorothy Newell,
Jerviese Kidd, and Geraldine (Clarence) Robinson.
Carl leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Tameisha Hiles; Siblings, Veronica Brown,
Aisha (Taylor) Hiles-Geathers, Cedric (LaPrincess) Hiles, and Nasiere Shirley; a very special
cousin, Cynetia Banks, 13 nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. The visitation
for Mr. Hines II will be Monday March 28th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of
12-8pm. Carl's Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday March 29th at the hour of 2pm at
Hillside Chapel. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
