Mrs. Emma Justice Murray, age 73 of Stancil Drive, Toccoa passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Albert Smith and Doris Ellen Bowman Theiler, she was born June 4, 1948 in Shelby, North Carolina where she lived a greater part of her life. She moved to Toccoa in 1989. She served as Pastor of the Salvation Army for a number of years, and during this time touched the lives of many young people. She was a Godly woman and helped anyone she could. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John Smith and by a sister, Leona Smith Nicolaidis.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Billy Murray; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and David Williams of Toccoa and Sallie and Billy Mitchell of Buffalo, New York; son, Keith B. Kifer of Plant City, Florida; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many loved nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022, 11 o’clock a.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Dennis Short officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Chris Carter, Stephen Bruce, Chris Shirley, Ethan Bratten and Jacob Holbrook.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:45 a.m. until time to leave for the graveside. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Emma Justice Murray.
