Morris Randall “Randy” Dodd

Mr. Morris Randall “Randy” Dodd, age 59 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida.

A son of Donna Howard Dodd and the late Morris Dodd, he was born September 3, 1962 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Habersham County, Georgia.  He owned and operated Dodd and Son Trucking Company.  He was a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church and Mt. Airy Masonic Lodge. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Ann Reed Dodd, by a son Mark Jackson Dodd and by a brother, Glenn Dodd.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Howard Dodd of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Richie Thibeault of Alto, Georgia and Lyndsey and David Robertson of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Derra Underwood, Macey Nicholson, Ben Dodd, Emily Dodd and Malin Littlejohn; great-granddaughter, Everly Nicholson; sister, Crystal Dodd Nunnally of Mt. Airy, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Kristie McAllister Dodd of Mt. Airy.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, 2 o’clock p.m. at Chopped Oak Baptist Church with The Reverend Alvin Burns officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, David Robertson, Richie Thibeault, Brian Tingle, Carlton Walters, Max Nunnally and Jonathan Volloni.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Morris Randall “Randy” Dodd.
