Mr. Leroy Presley, age 75 of 361 Blakely Chappelear Road, Martin passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his residence.
A son of the late Charlie S. Presley and Essie Grindle Presley, he was born July 2, 1946 in White County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Murrayville, Georgia. He was retried from Georgia Department of Transportation with 30 years of service. After retirement, he started painting houses. He loved the outdoors, fishing and his dogs. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, grandson, Jonathon Butler and by a step-daughter, Beatrice Ramirez.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Willie Mae Grindle Presley; daughter, Samantha Shirley of Toccoa; step-sons, Michael Agans of Murrayville, Georgia and Bill Agans of Oakwood, Georgia; step-daughters, Ann (Scott) Hawkins of Martin, Georgia and Judy Haley of Dahlonega, Georgia; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Presley and Ray Presley both of Murrayville, Georgia; sister, Mary Lou England of Murrayville, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, 2 o’clock p.m. at the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Chris and Elisa Lyles officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Scott Hawkins, Randy Turner, Ethan Driestadt, Michael Agans and Shannon Shirley.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time to leave for the graveside. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Leroy Presley.
