Virginia Park Barrett Parker

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Virginia Park Barrett Parker, age 89, of Commerce, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  Mrs. Parker was born in Commerce, Georgia a daughter of the late Early and Ermine Park Barrett, was a member of Apple Valley Baptist Church and was retired from Alltel after forty-one years of service.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker is preceded by four siblings, Elwyn Barrett, Louise Sailors, Jack Barrett and Enda Earl Potts.

Survivors include nephews and nieces, Larry Barrett (Laverne) of Jefferson, Susan Gooch (Bobby) of Jefferson, Kathy Kennedy (Alan) of Commerce, Jackie Barrett (Lynda) of Commerce, Betty Anne Parks (Alan) of Commerce, and Pam Gooch (Carl) of Milledgeville.  Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 17, 2022, from the Apple Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Larissa Parker officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Joey Barrett, Matthew Barrett, Donnie Johnston, Joseph Carter, Taylor Kennedy, and Nate Krickel.
