Reverend Charles Lee Fleming, of Cleveland, returned to the Lord on March 13, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospice. He was 69. Charles was born July 9, 1952, in Alexander city Al.
Devoting his life to serving others and following Christ's word, Charles and is late wife Ann Fleming founded Caring Hands Ministries in 1995. As President of Caring Hands, Charles and Ann implemented several programs to serve the community, including emergency food, coat and blanket giveaways in the winter, and several back to school giveaways. Boundless in his charity and compassion, Charles would have given the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.
His friends and family are proud and content to let all know Charles went peacefully and with knowledge that he would soon be in His eternal kingdom with his late wife Ann. A devout Christian, Charles preached His word whenever given the chance and walked His path of righteousness. A blessing to those around him, he will be dearly missed and remain deeply loved friends, family, and community.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Cindy. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 wonderful years, Ann Fleming. He is survived by special friends-that he and his wife considered their adopted family-Erica and Jose Hernandez of Gainesville, and their children Kaylyn, Noah, and Aidan and Fletcher. Others Charles adopted family are Lafaye and Terry Murphy of Cleveland, and their children Brittany, Kaitlyn, and Brilyn, Raydin and Maddie. He is also survived by his friends Mary and Ruben Mauricio of Gainesville ga.
The family and friends want to express a deep gratitude to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in patient hospice unit. Each of the nursing staff went above and beyond to provide the most compassion into their care, exceeding even the best standards of nursing.
We ask that you pray for him and rejoice in his eternal life rather than simply mourn his loss of physical life. He has been delivered into Heaven and awaits each of us.
