Geneva Iva "Nana" Lovell

Mrs. Geneva Iva “Nana” Lovell, 85, of Dawsonville, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Born on September 30, 1936 in Towns County, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Julie Edwards Thomas. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family and cooking delicious meals. Mrs. Lovell was a member of Restoration Worship Center.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lovell; daughters, Wanda Davis, Bennie Jo Lovell; grandson, Darrin Stroud and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Lovell is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sherry and Ronnie Smith of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, Willis and Eva Thomas of Demorest; sister, Dorothy Hughes of Blairsville; grandson and wife, Brandon and Jessica Smith of Murrayville; great grandchildren, Kelsey Drum (Anthony), Brynlee Smith, Dylan Stroud, Brody Smith, Baker Smith; great-great grandchildren, Payton Drum, Oakley Drum; a host of daughters, sons and grandchildren who called her Nana; Nana’s special friend, Diana Ray.
