Janice Linda Smith, 77 of Gainesville died March 7, 2022 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville. She ws born on August 2,1944,
She lived most of her life in Gainesville, where she loved, cared for and raised her family. Janice was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and cook. She was famous for her pecan pie and vanilla wafer cake. She enjoyed her grandchildren, Kindle and Hunter. She loved to play with them and spoil them. Janice was the sweetest, kindest, most generous person you could ever meet. You could always count on her to be honest. She loved to talk to friends and family. Her greatest treasure was pictures of her children and grandchildren. Nobody had a love for clothes and shoes more than she did. She had quite the collection! She was known as Mama to her grandchildren. To say that she will be greatly missed is an understatement. Nobody could listen like mama or love line Nonny. She was the best!
Ms. Janice is survived by her son Curtis Gregory Smith, her daughter Pamela D. Gee (Wiley), her Grandchildren Kindle Gee and Hunter Smith, her Daughter-in-law Wendy Smith, and a number of Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband Curtis Smith, her son, Tim Smith, her parents Jim Broome and Wilma Granger, and her brother Jimmy Broome.
