Dola Seabolt Thomas

Ms. Dola Seabolt Thomas age 99 of Gainesville passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, only a few days from celebrating her 100th birthday.

She was born March 19, 1922 to the late Henry and Mollie Seabolt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Thomas, brothers, Amos and Lyndal Seabolt and sister, Beatrice Grizzle.

Dola was the eldest member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was an active member and held many positions over the years including over 40 years in the nursery department. She touched so many lives.

She was a very special nana to Phillip and Brenda Cofield, Josh and Megan (Saan, Hadleigh Dola, Grey), Justin (Brodie), Kayla (Houston), Kory and Kasey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friend, Peggy Moran.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Pirkle and Rev. Tommy Hunt will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2414 Athens Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30507.
