Nita Wallis Doster

Nita Wallis Doster, 86 years old, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. 

  She was born in Hall County on October 10, 1935 and was the oldest daughter of the late Bryant and Helen Wallis.  Nita was a charter member of Blackshear Place Baptist (Christ Place Church).  She was a strong woman of God who loved the Lord.  She served the Lord in many capacities but singing in the choir was her favorite.  Nita loved music and especially enjoyed playing her piano.  She had a love for travel.  Her sister Kay and, cousin Linda Lathem were her frequent travel companions as they traveled all over the world together. 

Nita graduated from Massy Business College.  She was the office manager for Lanier Park Anesthesiology until her retirement.

Nita is survived by her daughters Len Davis (Phil) and Angie Mallory.  Grandchildren: Taylor Davis, Justin Palmer (Terah), Jeffrey Palmer (LeAnn), Joel Palmer (Cherish), Joshua Palmer (Susannah), Cameron Davis (Ana), Elizabeth (Christopher) Hedden, Hannah Mallory, Julia Kay (Brian) Willis.

Great-Grandchildren: Natalie, Jessie, Andrew, Jaxson, Brantley, Kamryn, Jace, Larsen, Chandler, Nathan Palmer.  Ellie, Luke, Caroline Hedden and Isabella Butler.

Sisters: Kay Wallis Herrin and Deborah Wallis (Anthony) Abercrombie

Sister-in-law: Bobbie Wallis, Many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Kenny Wallis, Andy Wallis and Richard Wallis and brother-in-law Hoyt Herrin.

The family asks that any Memorial Contributions be made to Christ Place Church or to the local church of your choosing.

A private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
