Mr. Dwight Dupree of Gillsville, Ga. transitioned into eternity on Feb. 24, 2022. Mr. Dupree was the first of three children born to Mr. Frank Dupree and Sarah Dalton-Dupree. He is preceded in death by both parents, two younger sisters, Ms. Teresa Hunter and Ms. Donna Dupree, both of Gainesville, Ga., and father, Mr. Leroy Maxwell of Gainesville. Mr. Dupree was the father of two girls and grandfather of seven, brother of four surviving siblings, uncle to many nieces and nephews, and friend to a lot of people. Whether you called him Dwight, Bruh, Dupree, the Duke or Unk, he was an unforgettable character that was truly loved and will be sorely missed. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Ms. Shanta Dupree- Mitchal of Watkinsville, and Ms. Rhonda Dupree Mitchell both of Gainesville. Seven grandchildren: Ryker, Sanchez, Belle, Hannah and lydia Michal Brother, Mr. Dana Maxwell of Gillsville. Three sisters and brothers in laws: Mrs. Debra (Larry) Mitchell of Hartwell, Mrs. Leslie (Fred) Dewberry of Gainesville and Mrs. Cicley (Jeff) Johnson of Gillsville. "Unk" also leaves thirteen nieces and nephews all of whom he had a close relationship with, grand nieces and nephews and two great grandnieces. Mr. Dupree also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Dupree's Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 3rd at the hour of 12noon at Wimberly Funeral Home. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
