Gerald Jones was born on September 24, 1952, to the late Mr. Mrs. Casey (Minnie Lee) Jones. He Departed this life on Tuesday February 22, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Gerald attended Fair Street Elementary and E.E. Butler High School. He was a certified landscaper and was employed by Paul Wilmont Land landscaping company and by Howard Tuner scaping co. Gerald was a hard and willing worker. He was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades.
Gerald was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. & Mrs. AB (Rosa Lee) Ramsey. His parents Mr. & Mrs. Casey (Minnie Lee) Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory to two daughters LaPacer Wanda Borders of Gainesville and LaPage Borders of Albany, Ga. One brother Larry (Ruby Robinson) Jones, one sister Deborah (Michael Sewell) Jones all of Gainesville, Ga. Two aunts Mrs. Annie B. Thompson of Gainesville, Ga and Mrs. Georgia Bell of Urbana, Illinois. Three uncles Mr. Ted Jones of Decatur, Ga; Mr. Berdell Jones Sr., and Mr. Arnold Jones Sr. of Elberton, Ga. Eight grandchildren Secret Borders, Lania Borders, Junia Borders, Paul Stathum, Johnvan Borders, DeMichael Borders, Shikara Borders, and Diamond Billings. Three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be held Tuesday March 1st at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. The Jones family will receive friends between the hours of 6-8pm. Mr. Jones' Celebration of Life will e held Wednesday March 2nd at St. Paul United Methodist Church at the hour of 11am. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
