Frances "Irene" Powers

Mrs. Frances “Irene” Powers, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.  

Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Reverend Steven Wood will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 2 – 4 pm at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Powers was born March 2, 1938 in Missouri.  She was retired from SKF Manufacturing and was of the Methodist Faith.  Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Powers, her sons, Harvey Phillip Anderson, Jr. and Frankie Bloss Anderson, her grandson, Clifford Hudson and a number of her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Powers is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Rhonda & Joe Roshau of Murrayville, her grandson, Joda Lee Roshau of Murrayville, her sister, Brenda Gosney of Ringgold, Georgia, her brother, Kenny Hall Sr. of Florida, her sisters-in-law, Patricia Powers of Statesboro, Georgia and Evelyn Powers of Gainesville, several nieces and nephews and her special friends, Sue Cook and Kathy Jenkins, both of Gainesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mature and Maturing in care of Pine Crest Baptist Church, 2520 Mountain View Road, Gainesville, GA 30504.
