Peggy Burson

Mrs. Peggy Burson, 90, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 24th and Friday, February 25th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Born on August 9, 1931 in Bluefield WV, she was the daughter of the late Chapman and Ruby Dooley Rutledge. She was a pharmacy assistant for Unimart Pharmacy and a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burson was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Burson; son, Darrell Walker; daughter, Sharon Walker and stepson, Billy Burson.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Burson is survived by her son, Gregory Walker of Gainesville; son, Douglas Walker of Gainesville; grandsons, Logan Walker of Seattle, WA, David Walker of Chattanooga, TN, Jared Walker of Nicholson; granddaughter, Megan Walker of Lula; grandson, Cory Walker of Oakwood; granddaughter, Sarah Walker of Gainesville and a number of other loving relatives.
