Ferd Herbert Meeks

Mr. Ferd Herbert Meeks, age 93, of Lula passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his residence.  Mr. Meeks was born in Homer to the late, Mellie Clyde and Maybelle Pritchett Meeks.  Mr. Meeks was a retired surveyor.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Meeks was also preceded in death by his two grandsons, Josh and Zac Gardiner.

Mr. Meeks is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Massey Meeks of Lula; daughters, Sandra Rylee (Dave) of Maysville, Pat Gardiner (Alan Farmer) of Homer, and Amy Nunn (Tim) of Commerce; son, Alan Meeks (Cindy) of Lula; seven grandchildren, Jill, Steven, Brandon, Caleb, Haiden, Holden, and Hunter; seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23^rd at 11 AM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Parks and Rev. James Duncan officiating with the interment following at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 5-7 PM.
