Robert Laverne Cook

Dr. Robert Laverne Cook, age 96, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022. Dr. Cook was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, a son to the late Perry and Norma Wilson Cook. Dr. Cook was a Chiropractor in Griffin, Georgia and was a member of the Griffin First Baptist Church. Dr. Cook was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in World War II. In addition to his parents, Dr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Patton Cook.

Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Parrish of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jennifer Pirkle and her husband Andy of Gainesville, Bill Parrish and his wife Sandy of Portland, OR; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Sumner, Lily and Trey also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Park North Riverside Funeral Home with Reverend Shon Peppers officiating. The burial will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville.

The visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at the Memorial Park North Riverside Funeral Home, prior to the service.
