Geneva Teague Nix

Geneva Teague Nix, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Mrs. Geneva Nix was born January 3, 1939, in Blairsville Georgia to the late Thomas B Teague and Mary E. Towe. Geneva was a member of Emmanuel Gospel Fellowship Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Nix; her siblings, Loy Teague, Earl Teague, Jessie Teague, Edward Teague and Pearl Teague Gunn.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Gerald DuFresne; daughter Shirl Davis and fiancé Mark Taylor; son Benjamin Hooper; grandchildren Christina Maria Pereira, Gerald A. DuFresne II, Christian Hooper, Trey Hooper, Justice Hooper, Delilah Teague; siblings, Grapell Harkins, Lulu Bell Davis, William “Lewis” Teague, Shirley Adams, Jerry Teague; 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral home. Sister Betty Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Owl Town Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
