Flora Lee McDonald

Mrs. Flora Lee McDonald, 81, of Gillsville, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Robby Ledford will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on October 12, 1940 in Rome, GA, she was retired from DOT. Mrs. McDonald was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her brothers, Lamar Hewell, Charlie Hewell, Billy Ray Hewell and sisters, Eva Mae Garmon and Mary Ellen Hewell.

Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband, Cecil McDonald of Gillsville; daughters, Jane Dean of Gainesville, Elina Buffington of Gillsville, Janice Stow of Gillsville, Evelyn Ann Stow of Gillsville; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Reed, Rheanna Reed, Amber Reed, Jessica Dean, Ricky Dean, Jesse Hughes, Timmy Harris; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Reed, Brooke Roark, Isiah Bronner, Desi Bronner, James Bronner, Harper Reeves, Destiny Harris and a number of other loving relatives.
