Rosemary Kalba Gloyd, age 86, of Oakwood, GA, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Alan Gloyd, Sr.; daughters, Barbara Ward Hughes and Helen Rose Gill; brothers and sisters, Leroy Kalba, Daniel Kalba, Helen Ann Vassak, John Kalba, James Kalba, Margarita Dunn, Marion Dunn, Kathleen Kalba, Dorothy Rabasco, Henry Kalba, Sarah Kalba; Mrs. Gloyd is survived by her children, David Gloyd, Jr. (Susan Rector) of Oakwood, GA, Bill Rabasco (Tina) of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren; Johnny Britt, Katie Desiderio (David), Jesse Adkins (Valerie), Brandy Kelly (Kevin), Lesley Vana (Brian), Matthew Gloyd; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; 23 nieces and nephews; several cousins. Mrs. Gloyd was born on May 14, 1935 in White Plains, NY and graduated from White Plains High School. She retired from the Gwinnett Co. Public School System as a bus driver after 25 years of service. She was of the Catholic faith. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Kirby Lloyd. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home.
