Doris Jewel Wetter Chapin

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Doris Jewel Wetter Chapin, age 84 of Maysville, Georgia who entered rest Thursday, February 10, 2022.  Mrs. Chapin was born in Cabarrus, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Paul Alexander Wetter and the late Vida Temple Hatley Wetter.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chapin is preceded by her husband, Arthur R. Chapin and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Chapin of Athens, and Thomas Chapin of Florida. Two daughters, Linda Ryholt, and Debbie Whetham, both of Texas.  One brother, William Wetter of North Carolina.  Seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.

In accordance with the wishes of Mrs. Chapin, her remains were cremated and she will be interred at Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida, alongside her husband on March 2, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
