Jerry Darwyn Rogers

            Mr. Jerry Darwyn Rogers, Sr., age 86 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pastor Ken Anderson will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

            Mr. Rogers was born May 14, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Thomas Brame Rogers and Eula Aileen Cone Rogers.  He was retired from U.S. Security, where he was employed as a Security Guard at the Gainesville Marina, a former two time Past Master of Lodge #171 and a Shriner.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Joyleen Pealock, Dorcas Burnett, Sharon Ferrell and Faith Phillips, his brother, Stephen Rogers, his grandchildren, Michael Rogers, Francesca Rogers, Thomas Rogers and Nicole Moss and his ex-wife, Edna Elaine Gordon Rogers.

            Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Baumgartner Rogers of Gainesville, his children, Jerry Rogers, Jr. of Dahlonega, Sheila Jones (Bill) of Locust Grove, Georgia, Don Rogers of Gainesville, Debbie Sue Rogers of Gainesville and Sheila Renae Brook (Evan) of Carrolton, Georgia, step-son, Robert Paul of Indiana, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, niece, Melissa Johnston of South Carolina, nephew, Gordy Pealock of Pennsylvania, his furbabies and numerous other relatives. 

Family request masked to be worn during visitation and service.  Mask are not mandatory but recommended.
