Anthony Cook, age 57 of Lula, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Born on November 19, 1964, in Demorest, he was a son of the late Carl and Elizabeth Ann McEntire Cook. For the past 33 years, Anthony owned and operated Cook’s Sanitation Service along with his wife. He was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church and was also a minister who had pastored several area churches. Anthony was a family man who greatly enjoyed spending time with his closely knit family, and especially loved his granddaughter. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruby Stephens Cook of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Corey Holley of Lula and granddaughter, Raelyn Holley; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Carson Crocker of Alto; brothers and sisters-in-law, Benny and Lisa Cook of Cornelia and Mitchell and Annette Cook of Lula; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 2 pm on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Jason Simmons and Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Isaac Carlyle officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
