Lois Macon Alverson

Lois Macon Alverson, age 93, of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Roper, Alvin Howard and Marvin Alverson; brother, Charles Macon.  She is survived by her children, Debbie (Chris) Hall, Jimmy (Joy) Roper, Tammy (Tom) Breedlove; step-daughter, Sherry Knop; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Alverson was born on September 25, 1928.  She worked as an account manager for Wachovia Bank for many years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Buford, GA and was a strong woman of God.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Buford Presbyterian Church, Buford, GA with Pastor Mark Spence officiating.  Mrs. Alverson will lie-in-state from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. A Private Family Interment will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Park, Tucker, GA.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.
