William (Bill) Headford, Jr.

Mr. William (Bill) David Headford, Jr., age 57, of Bremen passed away Friday, February 4, 2022.

He was born on June 18, 1964, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  He was surrounded by his sisters during his last days.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Francine.  He is survived by his sisters, Lisa A. Hurley, Heather H. Loveless, and Tricia A. Barry; nephews, Keagan Hurley, Bailey Hurley, Jack Barry, and Brayden Loveless; niece, Chloe Barry; and dear friends, Charlie, Jim, and Scott.

Bill had been employed by K & K Machine Shop, Inc. where he excelled as a Master Machinist.  A few of his passions were collecting rare coins and dollar bills.  He also collected Nascar diecast cars and enjoyed going to his favorite race at Talladega to cheer on his driver Jeff Gordon.

He enjoyed giving to others—whether it was the gift of helping his friends, gifts to his nephews and nieces, or dressing up as a gigantic Easter bunny volunteering to deliver candy to children of low-income households.  He was truly an angel in disguise.

Bill was a son, a brother, and a friend who is described as always ready to “be there” to help in any way possible.  When he gave his word, he respected and honored what “giving your word” meant.  He was a kind and honest man who always strived to be a good person. He believed in the power of love, and strength of family.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced privately by the family.
