Charles Loy Truelove

Charles Loy Truelove, 78 of Gainesville passed on Sunday February 6, 2022 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.

Charles was born in Gainesville GA to Loy and Grace Gee Truelove.  He operated Truelove’s Paint & Body repair shop.  Charles was a devoted husband for 57 years to Peggy.  He was a gentle and loving man to his children, grandchildren and a good friend to everyone he knew. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Hannah Truelove and Seth Ellis.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Matthews Truelove, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Angie (Scott) Ellis, Sarasota FL; daughter and son-in law, Hayley (Gregg) Poole, Lula GA;  son, Jeff Truelove, Pendergrass, GA; Jan (Harry) Rosenfeld, Parkland, FL; son, Danny Benton, Ft. Meyers, FL; son, Marty Lee, Loganville, GA;  grandchildren, Ivy, Sydney, Hunter, Clint, Jessica, Rachel, and Tori; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise (Jack) Lester, Patricia (Harold) Harbin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall (Caroline) Truelove, Kim (Teresa) Truelove.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Diamond Hill Baptist Church.  Rev. Gregg Poole and Rev. Mark Hutchins will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
