Ned Jackson was born to the late Lemme and Fred Jackson in Jefferson, Ga. He worked for Milliken Mills in Gainesville, Ga where he retired after 33 years. He also worked part-time in the Gainesville City School System. He worked diligently and never missed a day of work. Ned also served in the US Army serving in the Korean War.
He was a quiet man with a gentle, humble spirit and was always kind and willing to help others. He had a witty sense of humor and would make you laugh when you least expected it. He loved watching wrestling, boxing, eating pecans, and sandie pecan cookies with his legs crossed. During the summer you would often find him sitting on the porch watching the birds. He loved spending time with his great grandkids Jenavi, Phalyn, Kauli, Alyssa, and Izzy. He lived life with no worries and each day was precious to him. He would often say “I’m doing well as long as I can put one foot in front of the other, I’m thankful.”
Mr. Jackson was preceded by his wife Mildred Jackson, sons Tommy Jackson, and Larry Jackson.
