Fredis Alexander Velasquez

Staff Sergeant Fredis Alexander Velasquez, age 25 of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, in Clarksville TN.

A Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church, in Tifton, GA.  Father Alfonzo Gutierrez will officiate. 

A second Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Saint John Paul II The Mission in Gainesville, GA.  Father Mark Star will officiate.  The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., with a private family visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Interment will follow on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Velasquez was born April 24, 1996, in Tifton, GA.  He was a Staff Sargeant in the United States Army.

Fredis is survived by his father and mother, Fredis Alexander Velasquez and Dulce Aguilar; daughters, Melanie Velasquez, Hazel Velasquez and Araviah Velasquez; brothers and sisters, Alexis Velasquez, Elvis Velasquez, Nicolle Velasquez, Kimberly Velasquez, Jose Ortiz and Margarita Ortiz.  A host of other relatives also survive.
