Robert (RC) Charles Edwards

Robert (RC) Charles Edwards of Suwanee, Georgia passed away peacefully from an extended illness at the age of 89 on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

He was born on June 18, 1932 to Homer and Leona Edwards and was born and raised in Dahlonega Georgia.

Robert worked in the construction industry for 30 plus years with the latest being with Wayne Miller Construction for 30 years. Robert had many interests that included working in his garden, hunting, fishing. He was a true outdoorsman and loved being in nature. His gardening skills would yield bumper crops every year. He loved spending time with his family.

Robert is remembered for his sense of humor, wit, unfailing work ethic and vast knowledge on all things outdoors. He had a big heart and was willing to help people in need.

Robert was the son of the late Homer and Leona Edwards of Dahlonega, Georgia. Robert is survived by beloved wife Gladys Edwards, Daughter, Robbie Isaacs and son-in-law Jerry Isaacs of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Son, Rex Edwards and daughter-in-law Rhonda Edwards of Buford, Georgia, Son, David Edwards of Sardis, Georgia , Step-daughter, Diane Carder and son-in-law John Carder of Suwanee, Georgia, Step-son, Rainey Palmer of Bethlehem, Georgia and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, Sister, Gene Beck of Dahlonega, Georgia and Sister, Corene Jones and Brother-in-law James Jones of Dahlonega Georgia.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Tim Campbell and Rev. Doyle Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the Service at the funeral home.
