Robert Alan "Bob" Mahan

Robert Alan “Bob” Mahan of Buford, GA, died on Sunday January 30, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born on August 31, 1945 in Bedford, IN. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 1967 and then began his 57 year career in ministry. He was senior minister at numerous churches throughout his career. He served at Liberty Church of Christ, Buffington Road Christian Church, and Fayetteville Christian Church, before he started Hamilton Mill Christian Church in 2001 where he stayed for the remainder of his career. Bob also spent time at Christian City in numerous roles like house parent, Director of Fund Raising as well as a board member. Bob lived in Buford, GA with his wife Sandra Mahan. He had two sons, Bob Mahan of Athens GA, and Billy Mahan of Jacksonville FL. He had 7 grandchildren: Noelle Mahan, Zoe Kelly, Drake Mahan, Mackenzie Bird, Hailey Mahan, Chase Mahan, and Emerson Mahan. And one great grandchild, Avery Mahan. His Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 5 at 10:00 am at Hamilton Mill Christian Church in Buford, GA.
