LaMichael Rashawn Hendrix was born July 4, 1980, in Gainesville, GA to Michael Hendrix and Kathy (Ken) Millsap. LaMichael departed this life on January 25, 2022.
LaMichael joined St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA, at an early age. He later joined Life Church in Atlanta, GA. LaMichael was a faithful servant
of the church and it was in the church, while singing in the choir, that music became his heartstring. LaMichael was a graduate of Gainesville High School’s class of 1999. An
exceptionally talented thespian, he performed in a number of stage plays. He was a member of GHS Troupe 2445, under the direction of Pam Ware. He went on to
perform throughout the US, including Busch Gardens and Marietta’s NEW Theater in the Square, to name a few.
LaMichael furthered his studies at Valdosta State University, graduating in 2003. It was at Valdosta State that LaMichael pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Known as “Reverend Ice”, he contributed to his chapter and others in countless ways.
LaMichael loved cooking and organizing events. He was the go-to person for everything. You never had to worry when he was in charge, as he did it “right and
in order”.
LaMichael was preceded in death by a number of immediate family members and
friends.
LaMichael leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Sean Michael Lilly; Parents, Michael Hendrix and Kathy (Ken) Millsap, Grandparents, Doris Hill and Louise Gaudlock;
Siblings, Travon Hendrix and Kenisha Millsap; Nieces and Nephews, Jordan, Elaina, Trenton, Tristen, Ashton, Cameron, and Kayson; and a host of family and friends.
The visitation for Mr. Hendrix will be held Tuesday February 1st between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. LaMichael's Celebration of Life will be Wednesday February 2nd at the
hour of 2pm at Hillside Chapel. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
